Who this tester is actually for
Start with the job, not the model number.
Choose BST100 if...
- 12V EFB as well as flooded, AGM and GEL batteries
- Battery, starting and charging checks
- 100–2000 CCA ratings
- Reading the result on the tool is enough
Look at something else if...
- You need a saved or printed customer report.
- The task includes a 24V truck system.
- A procedure specifically calls for true load testing.
What changes the buying decision
Use these distinctions to rule this model in or out for your job.
EFB changes eligibility
Unlike BA101’s verified subset, BST100 explicitly includes EFB. Select the chemistry on the battery label, not a guess based on the vehicle.
No report is a real tradeoff
The frozen record contains no shareable output. Do not buy it expecting a software update to supply the proof required by your workflow.
Starting problems need scope
Cranking and charging are included here. BST200 is the narrower battery-health route; choose that only if system diagnostics are unnecessary. Related options: ANCEL BA101 / ANCEL BST200.

Common questions
Does EFB support make it a start-stop service tool?
It supports testing the listed battery chemistry. That does not establish battery registration, coding or a complete start-stop-system diagnosis.
Will the finder choose it for digital proof?
No. EFB coverage cannot compensate for a missing verified report output. Related buying forks: ANCEL BA101 / ANCEL BST200. Check the remaining requirements in the finder.
