SOLAR / Clore 1852
A 100-amp fixed-load tester for 6V/12V work. It applies a physical load, but it is not an adjustable carbon-pile tester.

Start with the job, not the model number.
Choose 1852 if...
- Your procedure permits a fixed 100A load
- 6V or 12V batteries within the stated rating limit
- An analog result is sufficient
- You can follow the manual’s load duration and safety limits
Look at something else if...
- The procedure requires an adjustable carbon pile.
- You need 24V battery coverage.
- Explicit AGM/EFB qualification or a report is mandatory.

Fixed means fixed
The engine groups physical-load tools separately from analyzers, but the label does not make 1852 interchangeable with a variable-load 1874.
100A versus 1000 CCA
Clore lists a 100A applied load and batteries up to 1000 CCA. These describe different quantities; do not read 1000 as the load current.
Chemistry remains conservative
